How are new files added to the Content Indexing ?

Hi,
By adding new file to a folder that is included to be Content Indexed, the file is not added to the index automatically.
Do I need to Force Rebuild to update the Content Indexing?

For me its updated with no delay and I use content search a lot.
The new file must be of course from a file type which indexed.

Right, was my mistake. I added a file to a folder that I exclude from be indexed.
