[Sorry for my poor english]
Thank you for your great work.
But long time has passed since 371,
and when to release the next edition is unknown...
why don't consider a beta release before everything done?

Thanks to Nug and David
When I try 1.2.1.413b, I see an "Set run frequency" in context menu (of cource, no translation). What's that?

In the Search Everything (beta) window there's a "Run Frequency" column which shows the number of times you've opened/played/ran a file/folder. Using "Set Run Frequency" sets it to a value of your choosing.

The toolbar size problem is fixed in this release. Thank you.
The display problem is still there. It only seems to happen when i have "Remember last search" enabled, if that helps at all.
I would also like to ask if we can get a Rescan Drives button or something to rebuild the db if we need to while the window is open.

David,
Thanks for the relative path support addition.
Also, we may have caught a break. I updated my video card drivers yesterday with the latest version and the search bar problem doesn't seem to be happening it at present. I will keep an eye on it and report back to you if it starts acting up again.

Upgraded today from beta Everything-1.2.1.413b to Everything-1.2.1.431a. Discovered a large array of new features. I've enabled "double quote copy name". Tested it on two different machines. It seems that the last character from a name is missing, this is true for folders and files. An example.
---- Everything-1.2.1.413b ---------
C:\tmp\wolverine
C:\tmp
---- Everything-1.2.1.431a ----
"C:\tmp\wolverin"
"C:\tm"
"C:\tmp\wolverine.tx"
"C:\tm"
I will test Everything-1.2.1.431a more this week, will post any bugs found and perhaps a few suggestions if thats OK?
PS. Everything is a pretty damn brilliant tool which is lightning fast. Keep up the good work. Haven't found similiar programs which can match its speed.

Where do you get it to show the quotes like that? I enabled it but don't see any quotes any where.

Finally, updates =)
I couldn't get the filter bar to stick in previous versions, but it works fine now.
When I change a setting and apply, Everything seems to forget the hotkey to fire up the window.

Boofo. The double quotes feature only affects afaik only the "copy fullname to clipboard"and "copy path to clipboard" when rightclicking on a file or directory. If you've selected on and you then open notepad and do 'paste'you will see the folder/filename enclosed in " characters.

Thank you for explaining that. I just confirmed the last character being dropped bug.

The filters are great but need a bit of finetuning at the moment. With that I mean that for example 'video' doesn't filter all video codecs. On my system the following videos were not found with 'video': *.mov *.3GP *.divx *.mp4 *.rm *.mp2 *.wmv *.xvid. I've googled a bit to find a list of all codec extensions, but haven't found one yet.
A similiar thing is true for 'compressed'. The ace, gzip, tgz exensions are not found. Again I haven't found a list of all compression scheme extensions. When dling from newsgroups the format is often *.r00 - *.r123. The current filter only finds *.r00 till *r.09. No wildcards like *.r0* or *.r* is used. I assume because regexes would slow things down considerably.
Again the above mentioned are not bugs but can be enhanced. Perhaps someone can help david and suplply him with a comprehensive list of all videocodes, compressed files, graphips etc etc. The filters are VERY VERY promising and usefull.

The main reason for not adding all known types is there is a performance hit for each term in the filter.
I have added a few more common extensions to the video, audio and compression filters in the latest alpha.
Make filter extension suggestions here:
http://forum.voidtools.com/viewtopic.ph ... =500#p1276
It might be best to add more filters..
For example: Common video filter to search for common video extensions while, the normal video filter searches all known video types.

Uh, the latest beta seems be putting a considerable strain on the system.
I tried loading executables, and Everything choked the hdd with a lot of I/O. When I load/reload page in Chrome, Everything hits %60-70 cpu usage!
I presume this is because it tracks recent file changes/modifications/access?

Edit: From time to time, I guess. But still, I've seen Everything hit %20-30 cpu usage. Weird.

Had to revert to build 431, I couldn't even browse the net properly.
Still, thanks, David, for updating.

I went back to version 431, also. Didn't have a lot of choice.

loading executables
What do you mean by that? That you double-clicked an .exe to run it?
What does
Everything.exe -debug show?
Re: Beta News

What I meant was when I execute a game/program (there's a lot of small file read-writes going on), Everything chokes the machine. Not only that, but loading a page in the browser triggers the same behavior.
I'll try everything -debug.

This is what the debug window displayed. It repeated the same stuff a number of times.
