SSD recognition

Post by Yaakov »

Hello everyone. I've used "Everything" for a few years on my laptops. Works great on the internal HD, including internal SSD HD :) , & on external disk type HD.
BUT when I put on an SSD HD it doesn't recognize its existence at all. :( I tried force index but to no avail.
Any ideas what to do?
thanks

Everything will only index fixed NTFS volumes by default.

Windows may consider your SSD as a removable device.

To add your removable NTFS volumes to your Everything index:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the NTFS tab.
  • Select your SSD drive
  • Check Include in database.
  • Click OK.
If your SSD is not listed, please consider formatting your SSD as NTFS.

To add your non-NTFS volume to your Everything index:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the Folders tab.
  • Click Add....
  • Select your non-NTFS volume and click OK.
  • Click OK.
