Is it possible to retain the same search-session when re-opening the window/program?

As the title says, is it possible to retain the same search-session including open searches and tabs even if I close the window? This is much like retaining the same session for browsers for example. I tried to look for this, but have not been able to find anything.


I have the program running in the tray, and I have an autohotkey-binding to open the Everything64.exe of the portable version 1.5.0.1363a.

Sessions were introduced in version 1.5.0.1372a

Everything 1.5.0.1374a adds support for restoring the session when re-opening the window/program.

To restore your session when reopening a window:

• In Everything 1.5, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Advanced tab on the left.
• To the right of Show settings containing, search for:
  session
• Select: session_store_restore_on_new_window
• Set the value to: true
• Click OK.
