Exit Everything when Windows status close button is clicked

Hi

I still use Windows 8. To close most programs I click the top right corner "X" button. That's the white X within a red box, known by some as the Close Button. It's fast and only requires one mouse click.

When I do that with "Everything" it minimizes to the notification area at bottom right of screen, and I often don't notice it there for several hours.

Does Everything have an option I've not noticed that changes this behaviour to make it "EXIT" (shut down) rather than close to the notification area.

I think "Everything" is the only program I've come across that behaves like this.

Thanks.

PS. I'm using "Everything" current version 1.4.1.1024 (x64)

Uncheck Tools -> Options -> UI -> Run in background.

When no searched windows are opened, Everything will exit.

The client running in the background updates the index.
If not, it would have to be done on the next usage of the client.

Understood. I only run "Everything" to check if I have a specific file so I don't require it to be in standby to update the index. I can wait the few seconds while it does that each time I open it.

Thanks.
