Everything finds files based on the values of Everything Properties and Windows System Properties. These properties sometimes are derived from EXIF/IPTC/XMP etc metadata tags embedded in files. We may use various tools that read/write the underlying EXIF/IPTC/XMP tags instead of working with Everything Properties and Windows System Properties. So if we change the value of an IPTC/XMP tag, what Property do we use in Everything to find files with that property value? So I became interested in the mapping of EXIF/IPTC/XMP tags to Everything/WPS properties.
I found a thread that contains a list of Windows System Properties and the EXIF/IPTC/XMP tags that correspond to each property. I haven't read through it yet, but I think it should be a useful reference. Here's the link:
