context_menu_parent_folder=4

Post by froggie »

context_menu_parent_folder = 4 is not documented in the INI Settings topic.

It is showing as 4 in advanced settings (although I never set it). What should the default be?

Option 4 is the same as option 2.
Option 4 will just use the default setting.

1356 removes option 4 to keep the context menu item settings consistent.
Previously option 4 would only show the parent_folder menu item when right clicking under the Path column.
Option 2 will now do the same thing.

I've updated the documentation:

Should 'context_menu_explore_in_everything' be available on UNC paths?
Oh, I see, it is only available on directory entries.

OK then, is there a reason that it is not also available on a file (to explorer the files' parent [is that the correct word?] directory)?

Explore in Everything only works on folders.

There is an Explore Path in Everything command, but there's no context menu item.
You can bind a keyboard shortcut to this command under Tools -> Options -> Keyboard.
I will consider a Explore Path in Everything context menu item.

For now, please hold down Shift and right click a file and under the Parent Folder submenu, click Explore in Everything.
