Blank context entry

1.5.1355a

I use a programme called 'filemenutools'. When I click on a folder using the folders sidebar to bring up the context menu, the entry for filemenutools is blank (although it does still function).

Thank you for the issue report harryray2,

Was this an issue in previous versions? or only in 1355a?

It was also in the previous version. Clicking a folder in the main search window doesn't cause a problem..

While on the subject, If I select two or more folders in the sidebar and use my search Everything context entry, separate windows for each directory open. Is it possible to show the results from all selected directories in one Window?

I am looking into the filemenutools issue.

Currently, no.
I will consider native support to do this.

For now, you'll need to copy the folders to the clipboard (Ctrl + C)
Open a new Everything Window (Ctrl + N)
and paste the folders into the search box (Ctrl + V)

although it does still function
So it does "expand", & you can see & use the various functions you have enabled there?
(That is not shown in the screenshot, from what I can make of it.)

No luck reproducing the issue here on Windows 10 22H2.

Please check if there's another shell context menu items mangling your FileMenu Tools menu.

You can temporarily disable shell context menu items with ShellExView.

Everything 1.5.0.1356a will now keep the IShellFolder alive while the context menu is shown.
This might help?

FileMenu Tools is leaking a handle in Everything and Windows Explorer which might cause the issue.
Nothing I can do about this.
