Popup do you want to make changes to your computer

Post by Eric6 »

Suddenly I now everytime I open everything I get the User Account Control popup do I want to allow this app to make changes to this device. Is there anyway to stop this other than changing my user account notification settings to none which I dont want to do. I tried running as admin and reinstalling the program. This all started after I got some popup from everything asking me yes or no to something and I guess I answered wrong.

You didn't follow the recommendation for the Everything installation.
- Install the Service
- Don't let it running as Administrator.

Look on the settings again.
And also on the properties of the link which starts Everything
specially on the Compatibility tab.

thanks! That did it! wow so easy. When I installed I did not check off to run as admin, but your right the compatibility tab on my shortcut to run as admin was checked. I unchecked that and it fixed my problem. Thanks again.
