Assuming that @void were a software coding mercenary for hire (not that he is but maybe he is :) ) how much money would we have to collectively throw at him to consider contributing to the VeraCrypt project located at https://github.com/veracrypt/VeraCrypt for some groundwork rewrites, modernization and bug squashing?

no one charge per 90 days it's project plan , if you add major works can worth big money , it's depend , i think coders charge per hour of work and how deep and how hard the job they doing , i paid a coder to code just gui to do some join few software to work in one software depend on its task requested and filetype that was 290 USD , code was written in 2 days but coder maybe spend few hours but it dont matter it was the deal and all he did was put it together but the other files was already from other software , it's something small so imagine 90 days

i would say if its big project i think maybe 50 K , it's at least 500 a day i would say

Please rework your punctuation as nobody finds easy to read that block of whatever it is you are saying
