I've tested Everything-1.5.0.1343a.x86 (installer) in a Windows XP SP3 VM and I cannot get the file version numbers to show.
I've deleted the %appdata%\Everything\ and Everything-1.5a.db file and let Everything recreate them. That has no effect.
I also tested Everything-1.5.0.1237a.x86 (zip) and it has the same bug.

Search for:
System.FileVersion in Select Property dialog (Windows Property System) -OR-
Version (Everything Properties).

Everything uses the Windows Property System to gather the file version.
The Windows Property System is not supported on Windows XP.
I have on my TODO list to add support for IColumnProvider to gather file version information on XP.
