Capturing deleted files.

Post by harryray2 »

Is anyone aware of any free programmes that capture that intercept deleted files, files that are deleted by me and/or the system?

Years ago I used Norton recycle bin which doesn't seem to exist anymore.
I know of a couple of pay programmes, one being undeluxe by resplendence software but unfortunately it's not free.

Nirsoft's FolderChangesView - Monitor files changes on Windows.
FolderChangesView is a simple tool that monitors the folder or disk drive that you choose and lists every filename that is being modified, created, or deleted while the folder is being monitored.

There is also this piece of software called, Everything.
And it has something called Index Journal.
If you set its' filter to 'File Delete'... ;-).

I already have the Nirsoft programme. What I'm after is a programme that keeps the deleted files not just lists them.

I've found a few that will do the job but unfortunately none of them are freeware and are rather expensive....
