can i index only file names ?

Post by Tommmii »

Hi,

the subject says it all... I'm not interested in any information except the filename & path.
No attributes, no extended information etc.
Is this possible ?

thx,
Tom.

Default Everything indexes filename, path and attributes - so that what you are not interested in the attributes, but perhaps not so bad. ;)

yes, by default Everything indexes name, path and attributes.
Reading the attributes from hundreds of thousands of files, stored on a NAS, makes Everything slow down to a crawl.
In my usage case, I have no need for attributes, which is why I asked.

if it makes network drives indexing faster it would be a great feature:)
