1.4 beta not indexing main drive
I installed the beta version (1.4.1.770b (x64)) on both my desktop and laptop PCs. Works great on my desktop. On my laptop, it won't index the main partition (C:), only the second one (E:). Possibly something to do with the C: drive being encrypted, although it worked fine in 1.3 so that theory may be rubbish! Is there any verbose logging option I can enable so you can investigate further? I haven't changed any settings between installing 1.3 and 1.4, and when I go back to 1.3 all the C: files are back in the index. I've tried rebuilding the database too. Both drives are enabled in the options.
Re: 1.4 beta not indexing main drive
Are the root folders on your encrypted drive hidden and do you also have Exclude hidden files enabled from Tools -> Options -> Exclude?

Thanks, I'll try that!

Find any clues in the verbose debug output?

Re: 1.4 beta not indexing main drive
Here's the debug output: (I would have PMed it to you, but I can't - I don't think there's anything sensitive in there anyway...)
Code: Select all
Everything
Version 1.4.1.770b (x64)
Windows NT 6.1
Processors 2
IsAdmin 1
AppData 1
Service 1
cmdline Everything.exe -debug
...
bad NTFS signature: GÿQû^
...

Thanks for the debug output.
I don't like to keep debug output on the forums as device guids (eg: {01234567-8901-2345-6789-0123456789123}) are unique to your system.
I prefer if users send their debug output to support@voidtools.com
I try to always trim the output to only whats necessary..
bad NTFS signature: GÿQû^
Looks like Everything can't read the volume at all, what volume encryption are you using?

Checkpoint, I think it's called, it's a proprietary encryption thingy that our workplace uses. Everything 1.3 is fine with it though.
Re: 1.4 beta not indexing main drive
Everything 1.4 indexing is very different to 1.3.
I'll check out Checkpoint, thanks.

Re: 1.4 beta not indexing main drive
Are you using full drive encryption?
Is the drive unlocked at boot?
I've tested full drive encryption which unlocks the drive at boot, Everything 1.4.1 appears to index it fine.

Re: 1.4 beta not indexing main drive
Yes, full drive encryption. It's Check Point R73 7.4.8, and I have to type a password before the OS boots up.
Re: 1.4 beta not indexing main drive
I'm using E80.50(8.3.937).
I'll see if I can get my hands on R73 7.4.8..
