When opening a PDF from Everything on Win10 Acrobat Reader DC get stuck

Hi all,
on my Win10 Enterprise 64 bits with Everything portable (1.4.1.935 (x64)) when I search for a pdf document and I try to open from the search results, nothing happens... with both double click or enter key.
After that, even going to the folder containing any PDF you are not able to open it on Acrobat anymore until you kill the Acrobat process.
Same issue also with previous version of everything, but it worked fine on my previous laptop with Win 7 64bits.
It seems that it tries to launch the following command:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" --type=renderer /prefetch:1 "<path_to_PDF>"
Please see attached screenshot from Process Explorer And if I try to launch that command from DOS prompt I had same problem, unless I remove some parameter like --type=renderer /prefetch:1
Any idea on how to solve this annoying problem?
many thanks
Alessio
