when i search on genre:<text> i only see mp3 files with genre i putt in the lines,

but its not working for my mp4 files, is there a way i can search genre:action for example?

genre: currently only supports id3 or flac tags.

The next major release should have native support for mp4, mkv and anything that supports the Windows "genre" property.
