Items opening behind the everything window

Items opening behind the everything window

Hello. Before when I would open up a video or a file from the search of everything, it would open up in front of everything. Now, all files I open through everything open up behind it. Leaving me to have to minimize everything to see it. This wasn't the case until recently. I'm not sure if I checked a setting but can't seem to find one that pertains to this. Any help is appreciated.

You have inadvertently set Everything to be "on top".

Everything | View -> On Top ---> Never
