Safely removing USB drive

All my USB sticks are formatted FAT32...I've had an issue where when I am trying to eject a USB drive I get an error message telling me the drive is in use or it gets ejected but not completely. I tracked this down to Everything writing to the drive.
I have had to close Everything and stop it in the task manager before being able to eject.

I see in the newest nightly build that you have included ' Everything to hang onto a volume handle when trying to safely remove a device' does this solve that problem?

It's highly likely it will fix your issue, would you mind trying Everything 844b and letting me know if it works for you?

It appears that everything is still locking the USB...I still have to close everything to eject the drive.

What version of Everything are you using Harryray2?

Could you please send the debug output when you try to eject a drive?
  • In Everything, type in the following search and press ENTER:
    /debug
  • Try to safely remove the USB disk.
  • What is displayed in the Everything debug console? (right click the console text and click Select all, right click on the selected text again to copy)
To hide the debug console:
  • In Everything, type in the following search and press ENTER:
    /debug
