deleting a block of files

Post by g9n99 »

Is there a way to delete more than one file at a time from a list that has been brought up by a search with Everything?
Thanks.

Click on the first file you want to delete, then do one of the following:

❶ Click on the first file in the list that you want to delete, then press and hold down the SHIFT key, then click on the last file you want to delete. Pressing and holding down the SHIFT key will select the first file you want to delete, the last file, and all of the files in between. Pressing the DELETE key will then delete all of the selected files.

❷ If you want to only delete certain files in a list, click on the first file you wish to delete, then press and hold down the CTRL key, then click on the other files you want to delete. Once you have selected all the files you want to delete, press the DELETE key to delete just the files you selected.

NOTE: You might want to have the PATH column visible while performing these steps, as you might accidentally delete a file that has the same name as a file you wish to delete, but is on a different storage device (if you have backup copies of files stored on different storage devices).
