Filter "light"

I have a couple of filters that I only use as a function. Example:

As I always forget if it was startwith:abc, startSwith:abc, beginwith:abc or beginSwith:abc, I defined my own filter ^:
That way I can search for
^:abc
(saves typing,too)

Of course, this filter also shows up in the Filter-list (where I don't need/want it).

Suggestion:
A possibility to define your own functions (or an extra checkbox in the filter definition: "Don't show in teh list" or an option to create aliases for existing functions or ...)

(Extremely low priority suggestion)

I do have on my TODO list to add another UI to manage additional macros.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Adding a similar request here: in the Edit Filter window add a checkbox to disable a filter. Disabled filters should not be visible in the Search menu and should not react if the user types the macro. This makes it easier to manage many filters and test new filter variants without having to use delete/export/import to temporarily disable and later restore older versions of a filter.
