shallow handling of network shares

After setting up my new file server at home I realized that my folder structure is very shallow, and had an idea: it would be cool if I could set Everything to monitor a certain depth of the folders in the network share for changes, or configure it to do a "shallow" refresh at a faster interval, going deeper in any parts that changed. Would there be some merit to this?

Maybe an option to exclude a path from the folder update?
eg: exclude path when updating: D:\downloads\some deep folder\don't update this subfolder

Thanks for the suggestion.

Also: the settings dialog in Menu:Tools > Options > Indexes > Folder are per folder
Click on each folder and you can configure a schedule for that folder, like:

Yeah, I know I could set up more folders, but setting a faster schedule that way would still "dig deep" for anything in that tree.

Although it's an interesting thought to set up additional folders on a faster schedule if I think I need it in certain places. Thanks!

Oops! This was posted in the wrong thread  No idea how that happened.

It should be posted in this one!

But as that is also your thread, you'll have to read it here :) (too much trouble moving it..)
