Everything with indexing and a flatfile db

Hello to all members.
I have two fundmental interests in the product Everythging and these are having a flatfile database and usable indexiing scheme.
Are such tools as plugins available or are there competitive products offereing such functionality?
Has any work been done to make use of DocFetcher more closely linked to Everything?
Any related answers would be very welcome.
