I use NTFS Streams for Tags and Comments. This survives file operations from Explorer or 3rd party file managers as long as NTFS volumes are used. There is no free iFilter available for epub formats.
So a content search can only be a binary one as long as David has not created one for this format.
You can buy Adobe or Foxit to get an epub iFilter.

The actual Streams version is 1.6 from April 2020.
It deletes all streams.

You can use AlternateStreamView from Nirsoft.
It displays every stream of files and allows to just delete one named stream from them.

Instead of pinning "programs" to the Taskbar, how about pinning a program launcher to the Taskbar, & from that launcher you have your wanted programs, in sub-menus or whatnot? That's what I do with QAP (QuickAccessPopUp) This even allows hotkeys for any of the configured apps or files.

The first thing to try is not to play with the settings.
Just press the "Force Rebuild" under Indexes and see if it helps.

There is no such problem in my actual Windows 11, including Windows Security. My fully patched Windows 11 doesn't complain about the Everything-1.5.0.1358a.x64.zip. The size of my Everything-1.5a.db file is the same with the program on and off. It is but nevertheless all Everything index data is stored in RAM. It's still fact, even you don't believe :) That's the reason why you can't store much content in the x86 version because RAM size per process is limited...

And what do you mean by "Everything stores content in RAM."? I can see that the content is held in the Everything-1.5a.db file and read from it. Just like all the rest of the indexation data. So, it's ROM memory, not RAM. You are wrong. The whole content index is stored and used from RAM....

In the NirSoft Tool, you can assign extension to the existing iFilters.
Try one of the Ope Office filters.
To my knowledge, the Microsoft one doesn't handle DOCX

By default, there is no content indexing at all !
So you must have defined it itself.
Change the settings to only include files from certain full paths.
And of course only for as less as possible file types.
