I check .exe version 1.4.0.713b (x86) and your settings entry always_keep_sort=1 works, after starting Everything I have ordered by path - so maybe the problem is the 64bit version. Check the yet new beta.

Explain what you mean precisely - if you want the default order was by path instead of name column? - or occasionally with some phrases.

P.S. I do not check the exe because it's 64bit (not written about it) and I have 32bit

I see that the entry always_keep_sort=1 already have - launch Everything, manually change to sort by path, close and restart should be sorted by column "Path"

You can set the filter Executable in the Menu | Search | Executable Ctrl+Alt+5 to see in the results only executable or enter *.exe

And you have checked the "Update every" eg: 10 minutes

Defragment MFT - the drive will be in better shape - type in Google defragment MFT and you will find several programs.

And as for installing it in the folder where you have Everything, replace 713b to 714b portable and will work.

I propose to increase the precision of the display size, that is: Everything now displays 12.1 MB (GB/KB) and I want to 12.17 MB (GB/KB), while for 1-9 MB (GB/KB) is OK. Only from 10-100 and upwards MB (GB/KB) displays one digit after the decimal point.

1.4 very differently database indexes than 1.3 - if you have both versions in the same folder, and the same database they replace each other. Use of one or second another location. David will explain it better.

It's not about the enabled of "logical sort" by default, only an option in the UI or .ini - as now "Show size in the status bar" when it needs it I turn on, in most disabled.

Can you introduce to Everything columns user, or whatever you call it - based on the list of detail shown in the Explorer.

For example: file version, author, owner, dimensions, etc...

Of course, without indexing these information.

That's not what I meant, I'm talking about the total count in the History list - when you open in notepad Search History.csv you'll see, for example, 200 lines.

Force rebuild helps where not turn off the computer and turned on again and start Everything, here we go again.

I do not know in what order do I perform a task to find where the problem lies. Now Everything run from cmd -debug but I do not see any entry failed or highlight in red.
