Re: paste hard links to same file to multiple folders
The experimental version Everything 1.5 Alpha provides the ability to Ctrl+V paste a file to multiple selected folders or object parents, but a distinct file is created in each folder. Perhaps @void could include an option to create hard/symbolic links to the source file instead of discrete copies....

While ADS can, and in my opinion should, be read in from the NTFS $MFT (fast) and treated as distinct objects (like files and folders). Re: checksums calculated from primary data streams only?
No, writers of ADS stream can preserve the modification date. At least I do so. For example, a tag system which changes the original file modification date would be almost useless. That's good to know. I guess it depends entirely on the tool being used. When I used 7-zip to add an ADS to a file, th...

And as far as date goes, it certainly cannot be used as any sort of equivalency - except for date itself. What I meant was, if you have two files with identical hashes, but different modification dates, that could be a sign that the files are not in fact really identical, e.g. that an ADS was added...

If a file list is included in the Everything index, would properties for files in the list be indexed? As I understand it, EFU files include only very basic information for files, and if the listed files are offline there wouldn't be a way to fetch their properties until the volume is online.

p.s. I used Ctrl+Shift+C in Everything to copy a file's complete path, and then tried pasting it into the 7zfm address bar. Oddly enough 7zfm won't let you do that. You can only paste a path to a folder, not the complete path to a file including the filename.
