Everything 1.5.0.1376a reverts to hosting the preview window in the same thread as the preview handler instance.

I am glad to hear Everything is now indexing your Veracrypt drive.

Left over index files or data files.

They can be deleted after emptying the recycle bin.

Everything will show the files as they are on disk.

Other programs may show a virtualized view.

From memory you are using a custom toolbar_high. (Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> toolbar_high)

Everything is not recalculating the search box position and size when zooming with a custom toolbar_high.

Everything will automatically reindex your volume if the Journal ID changes.

If chkdsk is fixing errors you have bigger issues to worry about than Everything missing an item.

Correct.

chkdsk fixes are not added the USN Journal.

Everything will be unaware of any chkdsk fixes to your volume.

Reindex the volume to pickup the change.

Any errors fixed by chkdsk.

chkdsk will report detected errors and fixes.

The user should be able to set such as standard function key to anything they like..

The search box (technically a combobox) will eat F4 key-presses.

F4 = Open/close the drop-down list.

Please make sure "Use shortcut in" is set to Global for your keyboard shortcut.

Does the issue persist?

There's no quick way to do this in Everything.
