Re: Solution for Linux/ext3

+1 for this feature. I'm using Linux more often now since tinkering with the Raspberry Pi. Windows 10 wasn't able to read/write to the EXT partition, which was an inconvenience because I've often swapped the microSD card between Windows and Linux machine. Sure I can work exclusively within Linux to ...

"Hiding" duplicate files

Hello, I often deal with multiple copies of the same file at different locations on the network. I suggest adding the "Hide duplicates" feature as this will help make the search result less clutter and improve readability. Ideally the search result will display the file (and folder) once a...

Re: "Hiding" duplicate files

I've tried your suggestion but unfortunately the behaviour isn't quite what I was looking for. I've attached an example, which shows duplicates grouped inside its own boxes. I'd like Everything to show the file once regardless of its location on the network. If the file name is the same but the chec...

"Hiding" duplicate files

Hello, I don't think this feature is available but I'll post anyway. Is there a way to "hide" duplicate files because I often deal with several copies of the same file in different folders on the network. Ideally the search result will display the file once and maybe add a new column the n...

Right-click to search selected file

Hello, I'd like to be able to right-click on any file and choose Everything from the context menu to search for duplicate and/or related-files. Thanks!

Yes but rather than forcing to the volume to unmount, I usually kill Everything prior to doing so.

Hopefully future release will take care of this issue.

This will be useful. Can also add a number of other file format (ie. ISO RAR etc.) but I think this is probably asking too much for the author to add this support.

Re: Things to do

@therube:
Thanks for the idea.

I've added the location of Everything.exe to Windows' PATH variable and created a simple BAT file with the following content:

Everything -search "Aug 2010 Visa"

Re: Things to do

Hi Dave, sorry to add this request to your already long list but I think this feature is worth asking for. Instead of saving the filter list within Everything.ini , I'd like an option to save each filter as a standalone file, which I can simply double-click to run. For example, a custom filter will ...

Re: Printing lists

Is there a way to fine tune on what to export? For example, only list the file name with path excluded.

Re: Things to do

improve TrueCrypt support
You may want to correct that to FAT32

Re: Things to do

Please disregard my previous post regarding alternating row colour. The option "Show mouse rollover" works fine for me. It will be nice to have an option to control the text properties (i.e. colour, bold/unbold, etc.) for "Show highlighted search terms", similar to what we can do...

I second that. Thanks! :D
