Sorting by attributes
I think there is a bug in Everything 1.2.1.451a when sorting by attributes. For me, Everything crashes each time. Can anyone else please confirm this?

Re: "Everything" version 1.2.1.446a
I think the search term evaluation is broken?
If I use ext:mkv J:|K:|L: folders and other files show up in the results, however with ext:mkv <J:|K:|L:> it is okay. Also, the results are fine when there is only one location being searched i.e. ext:mkv J:
Thanks, Nug.

Re: "Everything" version 1.2.1.442a
Thanks for the release David, I'm just wondering if there's a reason why the ext: string must come before the directories/locations? e.g. J:|K:|L:|I:\[COMPLETE]|I:\[INCOMPLETE] ext:avi;mkv;mp4;ogm still shows other files and directories whereas ext:avi;mkv;mp4;ogm J:|K:|L:|I:\[COMPLETE]|I:\[INCOMPLE...

Still no luck unfortunately.
Re: Beta News
In the Search Everything (beta) window there's a "Run Frequency" column which shows the number of times you've opened/played/ran a file/folder. Using "Set Run Frequency" sets it to a value of your choosing.

Re: Everything & Directory Opus
I've been mucking around with the beta (414b) to test out the namepart(filename) command however I don't know the correct syntax for the command and I can't seem to get it to work. This is the code I'm using at the moment open_folder_path_command=$exec("C:\Program Files\GPSoftware\Directory Opu...

Re: How to search filename +only specified extensions!!!
Just because you don't like it doesn't make it "shit". In your other post you said make Everything like Locate32, so why don't you just use Locate32 and leave it at that? No point coming on here just to complain and be rude to people.

The latest beta that I've found, posted by David is here

Re: Search Current Directory
I think David is suggesting using the command line. If you're using Directory Opus, you can assign Everything to a keyboard shortcut/button. I have Ctrl+F assigned to open a search window of Everything. C:\Program Files\Everything\Everything.exe -path "%1" However when I have a folder sele...

Re: Opening .lnk files (shortcuts) opens the file in Notepad
Just tried this and my shortcuts work fine. Do shortcuts in Windows open in notepad as well or do they resolve the target?

Everything & Directory Opus
I've been messing around with Search Everything and DOpus to get 'Everything' to use it as an external file manager and at the moment I'm using hstart (Hidden start). I had a batch file going and was intending to use hstart so that I wouldn't see the cmd window flash each time. Anyway here's the cod...
