Files Remaining in DB

I've been having troubles with deleted files remaining in the database. I have two illustrations of the problem. The first is a series of ttf font files that have been deleted yet remain in the directory without Date Modified/Size values. (The highlighted files -275- are valid.) http://i.imgur.com/M...

Re: Can't find some files

Everything doesn't search inside files, just file and directory names.

Re: speed!

I use a DoubleKiler Pro (http://www.bigbangenterprises.de/en/doublekiller/) to manage a very large font collection. It allows checking by file name (with options), file size (with ranges), file date (with range), and content (crc32 calculation). Having all 4 means you catch every duplicate. In fact,...

Re: "Everything" version 1.2.1.451a

And all those Windows routines which you use to select a subdirectory. Some of them are incredibly tedious! Seems like it reads the entire disk, file by file! For some reason I think it is Irfanview, however I've never had that problem with image files but have always had it with large font director...

Re: "Everything" version 1.2.1.451a

I have the same problem on Irfanview. Not every time. Dbl click, image shows briefly (3 seconds), then blanks out, has disk activity and eventually comes back maybe 15 seconds later. Hour glass entire time. Once done, the next image is fast. (Just did BMP and had problem).

Lash, lash. I would rather pay for it than have ads. I don't want it calling home either. The goal is speedy delivery.

Copernic was not my solution

I had my hopes at first but I had to get rid of Copernic as kept getting "Catastrophic failure" msgs. It could not be relied upon to correctly catalogue my files -- would get varying file counts every time I had to start over. It would not consistently log selected files to its db (font fi...

Re: Always Copy From Everything

I left click drag which is very direct. I have to relearn my ways I guess. It is helpful to be able to do things while I have the file "up". But I was surprised when subsequent items were either copied or moved. Moving stuff out of "someplace" makes it very iffy to move it back. ...

Re: Drag and Drop Error

Yes, yes, I found an answer! Got some good advice from another software provider. My version of IZArc was interfering with the drag and drop function even though it wasn't party to the drag and drop. Disabling it solved the problem in Everything.

Always Copy From Everything

I would prefer Everything not act like a file manager in terms of being able to copy, move or delete things. Items listed may exhibit Move or Copy icons depending upon where they came from and where they're going. If you're not watching you could move stuff from "paths unknown" and never g...

Re: is it possible to create a “Deskbar” on the taskbar?

If what you're talking about is like the Google search bar, I'd agree. So much more convenient and faster to start typing and then ask for a Search.
I changed my mind. The search is instantaneous so no need to wait or ask for a second key stroke.

Glad that's the answer because I have a question : what is Regex?

When I disabled it before I got this result -- so I enjoyed the enabled version more.
