Re: Preview Panel, show selected folders contents
Hmm. I guess the closest implementation would be kind of an… embedded tab? It'd basically function like another tab in Everything, the (hidden) search bar would just be auto-populated by the address of the current/last selected folder. https://i.imgur.com/RCugtyd.png Probably harder to implement tha...

Preview Panel, show selected folders contents
I think it'd be nice if there were an option for the Preview Panel to be able to show the contents of a selected folder, instead of just the folder's thumbnail (with it's previews). Even more awesome if it also had the dropdown to filter file types, and you could select files from that preview. Some...

Re: Advanced Rename
Another thing I've thought of while using the Advanced Rename… I wish it would sync the top and bottom list views, and also highlight whichever line you're currently on. If you're doing RegEx, having it highlight the matching replacements in the top list would also be awesome. It would make it much ...

Re: Advanced Rename
I'm wondering if it would be possible to add an "Apply" button on the Advanced Rename panel, so it doesn't close? I use it a lot, and I often need to make a bunch of similar changes, and so having to hit "Ok", having the panel close, having to reopen it, having to re-modify the O...

Option to... not immediately query on new tab?
I frequently open a new tab, and Everything (1.5a) starts populating, well, everything , and I have to wait for that. If I try and do anything, it then asks if I want to stop the query. I'm wondering if there's a way to have new tabs just do/display/search for nothing when opening, until I put somet...

Re: Finding files that end with Digits, after a Specific Character...
This is helping tremendously. Thank you, you're awesome.
The main thing I'd warn anyone using this for similar purposes about is to be aware of files that have Dates at the end in ##-##-##, ##-##-####, or ####-##-## styles.

Finding files that end with Digits, after a Specific Character...
I'm trying to find files that end with one-to-four numbers, after a dash. FileName-7.ext FileName-50.ext FileName-429.ext FileName-8136.ext ...and then I want to replace(remove) the dash and the numbers. FileName.ext FileName.ext FileName.ext FileName.ext I've tried searching for the answer/example ...

Re: Is it possible to search for content within an archive file
I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding some syntax or something... I'm on 1.5a, and I'm trying to find any archives (zip, rar, etc.) that contain specific files types in them. "container-file-name:*.ext" doesn't seem to return any results regardless of what type of file I'm searching for. &q...

Renaming, Double-click [Brackets] auto-select no longer happening.
Uh, terrible title, not sure how to concisely describe the issue. So, in Everything 1.4, when renaming a file, if you double click on a segment of text that begins or ends with a Bracket, [ or ], it will include that automatically in the selection. I use brackets for tagging files a lot, [Tag1][Tag2...
