Re: Sorting by Filename issues
I believe what you want is called "natural sorting". It should already be available as per viewtopic.php?f=12&t=9791#natural

How to use startwith?
I would like to search for the little poopies that macos creates, the files which start with "._".
I expected `startwith:"._"` to work, but it does not. I attached a screenshot of what i want to search for.

Re: Store the content of the indexed content in a database?
This is an interesting idea: store the content in something like an SQLite with FTS?
I am talking about "content indexing" feature, not about the usual file indexing which should not be changed.

Re: Selection is lost after file operation
I have found the issue:
`General` - `Search` - `Focus search on activate` -- this should be disabled. Interesting that no Advanced setting was highlighted for this.
Anyway, now i need to find out how to `Focus search when window is opened`.
Thanks for the support!

The changed settings are these ones: https://drive.google.com/file/d/12D8rXm ... sp=sharing
I tried with `clear_was_result_focus_in_view_on_file_operation` both true and false without a difference

Solved: Selection is lost after file operation
I would like to know how to make Everything remember the selected file in the result list, after i do a file action. In the video from the link at the bottom, it can be see that every time i press enter and a file opens, the selection is moved back to search, instead of remaining on the file i had o...

Re: Full RSS feeds for Board?
phpBB offers ATOM feeds, not RSS, but i don't think that's a problem for any news reader. There is a feed for "all new posts and their replies" here: https://www.voidtools.com/forum/feed.php However, there is not a feed for "all new posts, NO replies". It should have been availab...

Re: Not Separating Folders From Files When Searching
There is a big drawback with `Mix files and folders` imo: Copy from another issue: I want to sort by 2 columns: sort by both run count and path at the same time, in this order. From this perspective, what _I_ would like Everything to do is to mix files and folders together, sorted by path, when they...

Re: Why are the defaults the the way they are + help needed
Thank you for the input @NotNull! Re: Why are the defaults the the way they are + help needed
@ChrisGreaves thanks for your suggestion about "default search". I'm already using that! However that does not fix my original issue: > If i use `sort:runcount;path`, either by typing that, or by using the `GUI, View -> Sort By -> Advanced Sort` [...] i cannot use `Mix files and folders` [...

Why are the defaults the the way they are + help needed
# Part 1: What I want Right now I use Everything from FlowLauncher, as a general purpose search, nothing more. I want to search for subparts of the full path, and to get my folders and files. Re: Exclude Folder/Filter doesn't work for 1 network folder
Regarding > while E is indexing i cannot search anything else. from above. It seems that if i rescan, searching works and files are not hidden. So it seems that the files are hidden only when adding a new thing to index, not when reindexing an existing thing. It also happens if i edit an exclude fil...

Another log: filter seems to work this time: `**Library\CloudStorage**`
Note: using Service to index and not "Indexing as admin" via separate E instance.

Exclude Folder/Filter doesn't work for 1 network folder
Please see in the file attached. I have a network share of a Mac: `Y: (pokambrian)` I added the exclude filter: `**Library\CloudStorage**`, but it doesn't seem to work for that network share, because all the files under ``` Y:\Library\CloudStorage\GoogleDrive-...\.shortcut-targets-by-id\...\SRL ``` ...
