When the search dropdown list is visible, using win+up to maximize or win+down to restore down the Everything window keeps the dropdown list in the previous spot.

Re: Focus search on un-hide

/focus_search_on_show_window=0 doesn't toggle/bring up the window to the front with /double_ctrl_action=3 if the window is not selected/active (works fine if it is minimized/closed to the tray), /focus_search_on_show_window=1 works in all 3 situations (selected, not selected, minimized/closed to the...

I toggle the existing window with double_ctrl (https://www.voidtools.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=45175#p45175) /double_ctrl_action=3 close/hide it to the tray (https://www.voidtools.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=45567#p45567) /hide_on_close=1 /minimize_on_close=1 doesn't work with /double_ctrl_action=3, i...

I wasn't, my bad. (I was quickly closing the window with 'ESC' after deletion).

No results for the month of 'November'

Version 1.5.0.1323a (x64) Windows 10.0.19043 date constants 'november' and 'nov' shows no results, rest of the months work. specifying '11' as the month works. debug output: 2022-11-03 02:41:59.034: search 'dc:oct' filter '' sort 6 ascending 0 2022-11-03 02:41:59.034: parse flags 00000000 type 24c01...

Re: Shortlisted Result List

The plan is to be able to drag/drop files/folders to this sidebar.
i think having it as separate window(s) would be better
File List Editor
I use it, but it is very limited : (
(can you make it so that opening it with a selection of files opens it with the files added to the editor)

Shortlisted Result List

(if there is already a way to do this please help) when working with files very spread out in a directory where sorting and/or regex don't help much, and you have to manually [ctrl/shift]-select the files and perform operations such as multi-rename, move/copy to folder, etc; it would be very helpfu...

Context Menu option

I would like to suggest an option in the context menu to open the path containing the file or the folder itself in a command prompt when right-clicking on the filename or path column respectively in the result list.

Focus search on un-hide

The option "Focus search on activate" under General | Search when unchecked works for when the window is un-minimized but not for when the window is un-hided (hide_on_close=1) i.e. it still focuses the search bar, so pressing the down arrow after un-hiding the window takes me to the top in...

Re: Additional fields in Rename

Yes, it is on my TODO list. great currently to get today's date in the format DD-MM-YYYY we have to do #text:<#now:,DD-MM-YYYY> which uses the #now: preprocessor, it would be nice to have a function $date:/$dt: specific for the renamer which would optionally take a format as parameter, eg. $date:YY...

Re: Additional fields in Rename

Sounds a little complicated.. yes, a multi-renamer inside a multi-rename seems complicated I will consider an option to apply the new format to selected files. what i meant by that was have different selection of files from the list have their own "new format" format. also do you plan on ...

oh yes, i forgot to mention that.
also would it possible to edit some selection of files seperately, like have the new format affect the selected files from the list?

Re: Additional fields in Rename

If you don't mind I would also like to suggest that the renamer get rid of the edit text fields and instead have a single list of files to be renamed (like the result list) with columns in this order [Old Name][New Name][Size][Date][Path][:more if you see fit:] with the sorting operation being same ...

Additional fields in Rename

Hi, I sort my my files in descending order of date created, so the old files end up at the bottom but when i need to multi-rename by appending numbers to them, using $number: makes the old files have higher numbers so i do <eval:$count: - $number: + 1> It would be nice if the renamer can have some i...
