Forgive me, but having the update check report no updates, but the homepage report - without any sort of qualification - a newer version . . that combination of states of affairs seems, at best, confusing and, at worst, stupid.

Please see image below for some explanation and for some details of my installation. I add that I am on Windows 10 2009 and that when I tell Everything to 'check for updates' it says no update was found.
