Everything crashes when I search for a specific word
Hi All - Everything on my PC crashes every time I search for the word "Price", without quotes. This is very odd. Can someone tell me what could be happening here and how to fix it? I am using version 1.5.0.1537a, 64 bit portable version.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Indexing schedule
Well, I just want indexing done once a day and Everything to use last indexed database as opposed to indexing constantly because it consumes significant enough cpu, memory, and disk usage when it is reindexing that it is interfering with my day time work. It would be nice to just have it index at th...

Indexing schedule
I suppose Everything indexes when the app is launched and periodically (how often?). My questions are: 1. Does everything reindex only incrementally when it indexes periodically? 2. Is it possible to schedule Everything to index only at a specified time of the day for example at 10 PM daily when I'm...

Too much memory
Everything search shows as consuming 300 MB of memory. Why is this so high and how can reduce this memory footprint? I guess it may be due to what I selected to index on the index tab in options. What are the optimal settings to have on index tab to get the best out of everything search and still ha...

Exclude folders not working
I added drive letters to the exclude folders list (see below for the contents from .ini file), but when I plug in my external drives everything search still appears to index them and lock the drive because when I eject the drive I get a message saying cannot eject drive locked by a program and when ...

Re: exclude folders settings
I added drive letters to the exclude folders list, but everything search still includes it in the NTFS list in options with USN journal and monitor changes checked. What are all the settings in options under NTFS section that must be enabled or disabled to prevent everything search from indexing the...

Re: disable indexing upon logon
Thanks. Upon starting, the message on the application window says scanning C: drive, so does it mean everything is creating the entire index again from scratch or only incremental? Can I tell everything to index only what is missing/new or changed from the index it already built last time instead, o...

disable indexing upon logon
Hello,
Everything starts indexing every time I logon to my PC. It takes so much time and resources that for the first 15 minutes after logging on, I cannot do anything with my PC. Is there a way to address this issue?

Re: exclude external drives from indexing
thanks for the reply. I think this works after the fact i.e., after I connect the drive which is not helping because per your suggestion I removed the drive and unchecked include in journal (the drive letter was F) and afterwards this same external drive showed as G and everything started indexing a...
