What is the purpose of the small files with the ".lnk" extension? I have more than 5700 of them, some dating back almost two years. Do I need them? Would it hurt anything or slow down "everything.exe" to delete them? I did a cursory search of the links for help, (not every link),...

I also wish Everything was available for the Mac. No search engine I've tried for my old Pro works very well at all. Searches take forever!!

Would you let us know if you decide to craft one?
