1.5.0.1371a Bug - Auto column widths option=True resets wrongly Size/Created/Modified in each instance
Hello! Since this version I noticed that each time I recall a new Everything window, which opens maximized, the Size,Date Modified and Date Created column widths get reset to this: Everything64_2024-03-29_10-40-29.png . . . If I then double click on the Title bar to resize the window, the columns en...

Re: Everything Using a Large Amount of RAM
My bad. in my previous Post I had 1361a installed. and with that I had also some file content indexed. After disabling it I noticed no difference so I kept it on. Now after disabling it on 1371a the memory dropped to 650MB which is good but now another question arises: I need that file content index...

Re: Everything Using a Large Amount of RAM
1364a and 1365a had a memory leak in the Everything Service. Does the issue persist with the latest version ? thanks for answering. Unfortunately yes. At the moment I have around 4.7M objects listed. This is my current indexing: Everything64_2024-03-25_13-01-31.png Taskmgr_2024-03-25_13-02-15.png I...

Double click on "Parent Name" text doesn't open the respective folder
Hello! I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but I realized that if I double click on it, the folder doesn't open but instead opens the associated file. Is there maybe a way to open the parent folder also when clicking on the "Parent name" text? I'm already using the "Open path with do...

Is there a way to dinamically change type of columns depending on selected filter?
Hello! I realized how if I'd have to keep always visible all the columns I use for each specific type of file, the list would be endless. So I wanted to know if there's a way to have columns automatically change/organize depending on what filter type I set. for example I set the filter to Audio and ...

Re: Is there a way to exclude a folder only if I'm searching outside of it?
Everything 1.4 has something called Temporary Exclusions, and 1.5 calls the same feature Result Omissions. Rather than putting your backup drive in the Index Exclusions, you can put them in the Temporary Exclusions / Omissions. The latter can be toggled on/off at will from the menu, and you can ass...

Is there a way to exclude a folder only if I'm searching outside of it?
Hello everyone! So basically this is my issue: I have a backup disk "B:" which I've excluded from the Results so to not clutter them with double entries and then risk to edit a file on the wrong disk. The thing is that many times I find myself searching stuff in that Backup disk. So what I...

Differenciate directory box from filename box
Another suggestion here, to speed up things, it would be nice to have two different boxes, one for entering the search path, one for the filename you want to seach. This way you can easily double click on the filename (or press ctrl+a) to select it delete it and still search in that path. As it is n...

Drag and drop a file into ESE to search for any file with same name
Hi everyone,
Just want to thank the devs for this awesome program. You made my life much easier
Here's a suggestion I'd like to see implemented:
As the title, drag and drop a file into Eveything (anywhere in the window frame would be nice) to search for any file with same name.
Thank you
