I thougt there must be an additional separate Database "Everything-Drive-L.db"...
If this is integrated into "Everything.db", its OK.

The scan lasts very long, there are about 2 million entries. Once scanned everything, it works quite well. But the scan starts every tim...

Hi! I'd like to make a second instance, the first for my standard diskdrives, the second just for one external drive (FAT32). Howto...? The databases need to be separate, one instance & database for c:, d:, e:, f: ... x:, y:, z: , the other just for the external drive... (L:) ist that feasible? ...

Using ProcessHacker, ProcessExplorer or Taskmanager needs starting a new process, which costs time.
(Pemanent) running of these tools mean an additional load for memory & CPC...

...I see... There are about 6.8 millions entries... So a memory use of 470MB sounds plausible... The CPU-usage is almost zero al empty search, also the other processes dont use much CPU... It's seldom above 20% and if yes, very schortly... It's a 4-Core Chip. Actually I don't have to much SW running...

I have Win 10(32)Pro. So the maximum installable Memory is 4GB, usable about 3,5GB... It happens ofen that the PC becomes very slow, so I started the Taskmanager and found, that Everything uses about 400 to 500MB inthe background. Is this normal? I installed now V. 1.5α.
It looks fine, but the german UI is not complete yet.
There is also now the missing FAT formated drive type...
I have tin tinker with it, what else is new...

Question: Can I somehow include this drive inspite?
Or do I have to specify all folders...?

Looking at the drive list I cannot find the drive letter of an USB drive, which is attached to my PC...
(A different one is shown.)
However, I can choose folders from the respective drive to be searched in...

Can sombody help me?

I'd find it usefull, if there was a "Preselection search field in front of standard search field" to minimize search time and search results. The preselection field contains the drive letter where to search and should be selectable from a pull-down menu, like this: a: b: c: d: . . . . all ...
