Some of the default out of the box Everything settings seem sub-optimal for the masses. For example "Open path with double click in path column" why is this not checked by default?! There may be a few people that don't want this, because they are error prone clickers or something, but this...

I imagine this is probably a Windows problem. But it would really nice if this situation improved. I'd like it to be easier to configure Everything with settings we want for all users and computers. Thanks

Thanks for the replies! I was trying to exclude a specific file type, and that seems related to the problem, but I'm not clear how. I had Exclude Files: *.axx and it was excluding all file types... Maybe I had an extra space in there? Once I cleared the exclusion, and then reset it, I couldn't easil...

You can also go in to Search>>Advanced Search and there is a drop down menu "Type" that deals with that issue.
