David, you mentioned that exporting as a txt file keeps the index journal..Gave it a try, but I couldn't see where the index journal entries are.

David, on the subject of Tor, do you have any idea of a way to get Tor to respect the hosts file, rather than bypass it?
I don't rally use Tor for privacy as such, but more of a way to access some sites that are blocked when using my usual Firefox browser.

Thanks, Indeed I am, but it's strange, as this is also happens when I run Tor, which ignores the hosts file.
But the main thing that baffles me is why this has suddenly appeared, and why my computer is trying to connect to it.

I forgot to ask, by adding and-filter: to the start of the filters, does it affect the operation of the filter in any way, when using the filter normally?

Thanks, I'll start with a relatively simple example... If I use the sidebar, highlight multiple filters by using the ctrl key, and chose some inbuilt filters, such as audio,compressed and video together it appears to work. Everything shows me mp4, mp3, rar files etc. About 23,000 files altogether If...

It varies, but If I want to copy to various folders, I simply highlight the folders in everything, copy the original file or folder, and use paste, either from the context menu, or from the Everything menu bar. The other thing that I do is use the 'paste to parent folder' from the Everything context...

I can't help regarding Robocopy, but I use Teracopy, as I like the file verification option, I will have to check, but I don't think Teracopy changes the timestamps when used with Everything.

Thanks, I did try selecting multiple filters in the sidebar but it doesn't appear to work.
It appears to work with the preset filters such as video, audio, executable etc, but doesn't appear to work when I choosing the filters that I've created.

Vovsoft do something called "copy files into multiple folders"..

I use Nirsoft shadow viewer, and shadowcopy view.
I tried using Shadow explorer, whilst it worked OK, I found that the restore point that I was viewing got deleted.

I have my exclude list in options, which I enable every so often. Is it possible to have a separate, different, exclusion list, which I can leave permanently enabled, containing files and folders that I never want included in searches?

Is it possibly classed as a system file as well? To see system files in Explorer the system has to be set to show these as well.

Possibly this? Thumbs.db, on my system is a hidden file..It will show up in everything, but not in Explorer unless you have the system set to show hidden files.

I also have a problem with filemenutools on the context menu in the sidebar of Everything.. On the context menu it just shows as a series of blank spaces.
