Re: Tagging, rating folders, files
It would be best to have a system that does not depend on NTFS to function properly.

Re: Tagging, rating folders, files
Thanks, did not know about NTFS Streams. Do they survive moving files/folders from one drive to another? How do you use them with Total Commander? Quick search showed me a NTFS Stream plugin for Total Commander but is very outdated (2009) and x32. What about network shares when NTFS is on the other ...

Hello, I am looking for a system to put tags,ratings,descriptions... to folders (and possibly files without changing files themselves). The idea is to have a system that survives folder moves, reinstalls, and will resist years. That most likely means apps that have internal DB are out of the questio...

Re: $openpath open in default explorer instead of Total Commander
Thanks void. Am in love with 1.5a and will try to stick with it. In addition to your suggestion, found another way around that: Options -> General -> Results -> Open path with double click on path text This uses "Open Path" as well, so opens in Total Commander as well. Will need to check w...

Re: $openpath open in default explorer instead of Total Commander
In 1.4 i am using for both Open (Folders) and Open Path below line and it works well. $exec("C:\Program Files\totalcmd\TOTALCMD64.EXE" "%1") For 1.5, Open Path works the same, but Open (Folders) does not. It opens said folder in Windows explorer instead. Is this a bug or am i usi...

Re: Network client-server setup
Thank you. Your solution is indeed very good.
Would it be possible if one could do a rewrite on the server side, so clients do not need to be updated like this?

Network client-server setup
Hello, I would like to offer my solution to searching network drive and ask a question. Let me first explain my solution (so others can benefit as well). For simplicitys sake i dumbed it down a bit, original setup is done with DFS. Lets say you have two computers: - Computer1 has two drives (C:, D:)...
