Re: How to search with punctuation, apostrophe's etc
Currently no, you will need to manually remove the unwanted punctuation. I'm looking at the following solutions for the next major version of Everything: Ctrl + Shift + V to paste without punctuation (punctuation is changed to spaces, eg: gram'ma becomes gram ma) An option to ignore punctuation in ...

Re: How to search with punctuation, apostrophe's etc
void, thanks, i think that paste with shift key will solve the problem for me nicely. Notnull, not sure i completely follow you - but strangely i have the same song on my search and happen to like groove armada quite a bit :) feat. gram ma funk returns it for me, but feat. gramma funk doesn't. eithe...

How to search with punctuation, apostrophe's etc
Is there a setting i can change so that i can get results without erasing apostrophes from search window to get the results. Example, "Diggin' The Scene" will have zero results, but "Diggin The Scene" will have a result. Also Vol. versus Vol without the period in the search string.

Re: unresponsive everything
Rescan is disabled and i think it was disabled before, but if it wasn't disabled that would explain the unresponsiveness as i would think that 256 changes with an at times sluggish server would happen during large file transfers of 2 monitored servers. It it is causing a rescan, a rescan takes a lon...

Re: unresponsive everything
After removing one of the servers and reducing from approx 29 million to approx 20 million files, the unresponsiveness has gone away. I was also moving files between the 2 servers which may have been contributing to problem (with it trying to keep up with changes on network share). Current memory us...

Re: unresponsive everything
Are you running 32-bit or 64-bit Everything on your (x64) Windows? With 32-bit Everything and the amount of objects you have to index, you might run into memory issues. 32-bit programs can't address more then 2 à 3 GB RAM memory. 64 bit service and program. I removed one server today, which removes...

Can't Maximize window without restart of everything.
I find that i can alt tab and see the search everything window, but when i try to open it, it doesn't show. It appears that its working properly other than i cant use the window to search. It never pops up. I see that its using a lot of cpu and memory, which isn't unusual for mine with the size of m...

unresponsive everything
I have been having problems in general with search everything becoming unresponsive on a computer windows 10x64 32gb ram which is networked also to 2 servers i have. The file amount is pretty large. Just under 30 million objects. I assume that may be part of that problem. Also i index for size as we...

Marking files to copy later as a batch
Is there a method to copy a number of files from a number of searches all at once? ie i search for a certain band name, mark the files i want, search for another, and continue, then copy the list of marked files later? I have a large number of files including folder shares to two large servers on th...

I have changed options in latest Everything to run as a service and to run as administrator (windows 10x64). When i boot the machine i do not see a UAC prompt, but it is only running as a service not as a program. I suppose this is normal, but how do i do a search or access it? What i have been doin...

Re: USB HDD connected start scan all drives?
This is the problem i have as well, in especially that it rescans all of my network mapped drives on an 80 tb server. This takes a long time (an hour or more)... here is the post i put in another thread today - i am going to cancel it and assume that the problem is just the same as yours.. I don't b...
