Fantastic! That did the trick. Thank you very much. 1.4 is back to working properly.
Is there a similar settings tweak for 1.5 that will let me use it concurrently with 1.4?
Is there a reason 1.5 didn't install to C:\Program Files\Everything 1.5a?

1.5 difficulties
Hi, I recently installed 1.5 and am having some trouble. The first thing that seems strange is that it didn't install to C:\Program Files\Everything 1.5a. Instead, it installed to the folder that I ran the exe file from. I don't remember seeing an option to do that. Second, I can't find an uninstall...

Re: Back & Forward button?
Thanks for the suggestions. I followed those instructions a number of times. Each time, as soon as I selected filter.csv from 1.4 and clicked Open, the list of filters was populated with many duplicates, e.g. Audio/Audio 2, Compressed/Compressed 2, Document/Document 2, Executable/Executable 2. etc. ...

Re: Back & Forward button?
I might have done something wrong, but I ended up with apparent duplicates of some filters after importing them from 1.4. For example, 1.5 shows "Audio" and "Audio 2"; "Document" and "Document 2"; "Executable" and "Executable 2" etc. It als...

Re: Back & Forward button?
That sounds great.
From what you're saying I guess that installing 1.5 won't affect my existing installation and continued use of 1.4?
And after installing 1.5, I can copy my .ini file from 1.4, rename it Everything-1.5a.ini, and replace the file that is named that in 1.5?

Nirlauncher sure has a lot of things it can do. Seems like Traybar stopped development a long time ago. Not sure it would work with anything more recent than Windows XP or 98.

Re: Back & Forward button?
It's amazing to think that 1.5 is even better than 1.4. Mr. Carpenter is a genius.
Rescanning doesn't seem like a big deal at all.
Do you know if I can use the same .ini file from my 1.4 installation in 1.5 (and preserve all my settings)?

Thanks for those suggestions. I didn't know that XYPlorer and Directory Opus could do that. Instant File Opener just feels kind of awkward and slow for me to use. Fantastic, thanks. I am not sure what you mean by “use double quotes to escape spaces.” The folders I’d like to have searched in this filter each have names consisting of more than one word with a space between each word. I put double quotes where you put single quotes in your example, but it didn’t...

Thanks for the quick reply Mr. Void!
