Size queries do work and as Elbart says takes a huge time because it is not indexed by size.Hope you have got the latest beta. Void had proposed to read all the column details from NTFS journal itself , but seems to have gone on a long leave. Will have to wait till he comes...

Those files which are not found are hardlinks and unfortunately Everything lists only the main files.That is a limitation under the NTFS journal mode. If you add c: as a dir it will be shown.

Check if if it is 658b , the latest version. Also Win 7 has a rare peculiarity of not listing certain programs in the systray even though the program would have started. You can check it using Process Explorer.Looks more like a Win7 issue...

As for 658b which is a near perfect build (save very minor bugs), this should not occur . If the concerned files are updated as Folder or a FAT drive , it will update only as per the frequency you set in Tools>Options>Indexes>Folders for that particular drive/folder..

Folder indexing does work here. If a folder is already indexed , if there are any minor changes in size etc , F5 refresh will quickly reset the result list. Everything presently indexes only by Name...

Is d: a fat drive or a removable drive? In case it is a removable drive , and after removing the drive , database has been built fresh, d: will not be present. Other wise it works for me in 658b.
Anyway try "Force Rebuild" in Tools>Options>Indexes.

If I understood you properly..it is already there. Tools>Options>General>Keyboard .The top 4 choices specifically address your wants , and they are Global until of course they are not in conflict with a reserved key.

Thanks for the reply! I think the peak @ 115000 k or 115mb is peanuts compared to the lightning speed at which it would deliver the results for 1.27million files.Say an average of 11000+ files / mb. On an average the peak private byte 115mb is lesser than my Firefox peak. :lol:

What is the week cycle Mon-Sun or Sun-Sat?
I tried a search dc:lastsun today. Ideally it should return 30/6/2013 but it returns 23/6/2013. The same holds for last , past and prev. dc:sun returns 30/6/2013 which is fine as the latest Sunday.
Please ignore this if the cycle is set to Sun-Sat.

Not too sure about the cause , but trying to exclude Everything from/in Antivirus or HIPS software can be a valid exercise to see any difference.I had an issue though not similar which was caused by the HIPS/Firewall app I have and solved after I excluded ET in it .
