Re: 2 undocumented alpha changes

Thank you for the response.

I made the rename change as it is easier if everything matches the behavior of the host windows version.

For the windows name i just changed my AHK macro to
#IfWinActive ahk_exe Everything64.exe
so the class change isn't an issue.

2 undocumented alpha changes

I just noticed these because they broke my autohotkey scripts.

1. cursor keys when renaming a file are now different from non-alpha and the windows standard.
2. window class is now EVERYTHING_(1.5a). it used to not have a version number in it.

Re: Copy (drag from everything) locks all everything instances

Oh ok. Thank you for everything.

I have one sort of related issue, but i think it is Windows fault.
When doing that drag and drop to drive with limited space, the copy/move is aborted (only option is try again or cancel), even though there will be plenty of space due to overwritten files.

Copy (drag from everything) locks all everything instances

Is there a way around this?

When drag files from everything to a slow device (usb drive, network share) all everything windows are locked until the operation completes

Re: finding duplicates

Have you ever seen a de-dupe program that can do this or can think of a way to do this easily?

1 Multiple paths of files to be considered masters.
2 Find duplicates(byte wise) of the masters across multiple paths and delete them, but dont de-dupe within the paths.

Re: Drives being woken from sleep on closing everything wind

Nope.

I did disable sleep in windows, but one of those drives is a green WD one, i think those go to sleep on their own anyway?

Drives being woken from sleep on closing everything windows.

I'm using win8x64 and Everything-1.3.3.658b.x64. I have a ssd boot drive, main drive, and 2 archived data drives. The last 2 arent accessed much and spend much of the time in sleep mode. When clicking the close window button, everything freezes, waking up the last 2 drives, then actually closes when...

Re: os_create_thread() crash in 1.3.1.636b

I'm using the newest beta. I haven't seen the bug in a long time, but i disabled powersaving mode a while ago so that could be why. I'll reenable it to try and replicate it. BTW, I noticed if you open the debug window with ctrl~, then close the debug window, that closes everything and seems to delet...

Re: os_create_thread() crash in 1.3.1.636b

After almost 2 weeks of no crash, it happened again. This time i think after awaking from sleep/hibernate. The memory usage had slowly been increasing to those larger figures i posted. I should note i dont restart this computer that much. Usually only when MS patches require it. The rest of the time...

Re: os_create_thread() crash in 1.3.1.636b

I have found if you have Enable only in Explorer unchecked in Class Shell File operations Everything will leak system resources when creating/destroying a thread. Do you have this option unchecked? I dont see an option like that anywhere. Where is it located? With classic shell, i only installed th...
