Re: exFAT - Continuously update index OR convert to NTFS
I have a couple of discs formatted as exFat volumes (standard USB external physical disk MyBook drives) from before I knew indexing those in real time isn't really supported (I think). Under Options/Indexes/FAT there is only: - Attempt to monitor changes (which doesn't seem very reliable) - Rescan o...

Bring back "Allow round bracket grouping" in Options, Search pane
I do see in "Everything 1.5 Alpha" , "Search Modifiers" (https://www.voidtools.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10906) "< > = Group search terms This does give identical results. Glad I found this. Got very accustomed to using round brackets (as we do in Google searches) with this ...

Windows 11 Dark Theme For Apps isn't affecting Everything
For some reason the Windows 11 Dark Theme For Apps isn't affecting Everything. It's still light. I see it is available in 1.5 , but the most recent 1.5 I see is alpha which is 2 years old. Has 1.5 not been released yet? Are there any versions other than 1.5.1 or Alpha? I don't even have Themes in Vi...

Command line to get a list of all CURRENTLY OPEN searches??
Windows Task Manager in PROCESES tab will show under "Everything" a list of all currently open searches, usually alphabetized. This is VERY useful. 1. Sometimes it is a little buggy. After 1st opening TaskMgr there is a number in paren after the main Everything.exe task, and if you click t...

Still "to do"? Seems like it should be fairly straightforward, but I realize you have a mountain of requests/tasks. But this would surely be one of the most useful & appreciated enhancements. Just a simple "restore last session." Other things like a list of previous-session s...

Ah, thanks. I didn't think of using folder indexing. 1. Does it include only the single folder, or does it recurse to subfolders? 2. Any idea why ir USED to work when my machine was window 7, but denied access once it was upgraded to W10? Does 10 handle these priveledges differently at an OS level?

For the "doubtful" item, can it just start Excell and then grab the first selection to the system clipboard from there as its input? I could use Excell to view, sort search & then finally select & COPY the row texts.

I tried this to simply add a space and "type:Video" , as well as 10 other varitaions on the syntax. Nothing I do works. The below creates the search windows minimized, but just smashes "type:Video" up against the line from the file so searches for the wrong string. For instance, ...
