Re: identify multiple removable disks by its label.
Glad to hear that. When a hard disk is inserted into usb hdd docking station, the index seems to be added without enabling the option: "Automatically include new removable volumes". The docked hard disk seems like working as if it is fixed drive. Please confirm if it is an expected action....

Re: identify multiple removable disks by its label.
Hello again, I've just formatted C: drive while newly installing Windows 10. I have 8 hard drives on my system and 7 additional hard disk using HDD docking station. After reinstalling OS, the drive letters of hard disks are messed up for some reason. So I should change it manually. There is no probl...

Re: High cpu usage while deleting many files at once
I'm using i3570K in first. It occurred when uninstalling one program. It's about 100GB with many small files. I guess everything is stuck in updating its database. I had a same problem before with similar tasks. IIRC, I did the job (like massive file deletion) after exiting everything manually becau...

High cpu usage while deleting many files at once
With the latest beta, Everything eats up more than 80% cpu usage while updating its database if there is massive file deletion. Actually, it made system unresponsive and was forced to quit in task manager. The dB size of mine is rather big though. (53MB) It would be better if there is any way to slo...

identify multiple removable disks by its label.
Hello, Thank for a great tool. Currently, everything does not distinguish multiple removable hdds when attached via a hdd dock. And I'd like to see the label of removable HDD. Is there any easy way to manage/identify multiple removable hdds using hdd labels or hdd serial numbers? If I changed the dr...

Filter buttons or toolbar..
Hello,
Everything is really great. Thanks for the great little gem.
I've been frequently changing the filter dropdown list in my daily task.
I'd like to see filter buttons for direct access by just one click.
Please consider to implement if you think it can be an useful feature.
Thank you again.

Re: Safely remove hardware in system tray doesn't work
At this time, "safely remove" does not work even after exiting a running everything.exe. Probably because of debug info window? Anyway, here it is. :) Everything Version 1.3.4.684b (x64) Windows NT 6.2 Processors 4 IsAdmin 1 AppData 0 Service 0 client connected Command: 1 open volume \\?\V...

Re: Safely remove hardware in system tray doesn't work
Hmm, everything service seems not related with the problem because "Safely remove function" works just after exiting the running everything.exe , not service. Do you still need debug info? FYI, running everything seems not refreshing (offline) drive icon dynamically while turning on the po...

I'm always using the latest version: 683b
It takes some time to reproduce the problem. So the debug text is rather big.
USB-HDD (J: drive) won't be removed safely from systray until everything is exited.

Re: allow multi-select in the box of open filelists
If you have many offline (ntfs) hdd drives, hddb is more convenient at the moment. I suggested several things before I know hddb but it is exactly designed for those who have many offline ntfs hdd drives. There are also some features planned for offline hdd drives. You can try hddb until it is imple...

Weird bug on manual update
There is a weird bug with recent versions. I'm using portable x64 version. So I exit everything.exe and manually kill everything service in task manager of win 8.1 x64 before copying. When everything is started after copying an updated file to the everything folder, it shows a dialog to install ever...

Re: Keep offline volumes in the index
Thanks for quick answer.
It makes sense.
But what if the columns of file dates, sizes and attributes are turned off?
Actually I don't use it for my purpose. Is there any room to speed up?

Re: Keep offline volumes in the index

Is there any perceivable limitation of loading speed of list index with the number of index? (I have index over 1 mi...

Re: Keep offline volumes in the index
It works great. By the way, I found a weird operation. I have four hdds keeping offline volumes and these index has gone when I connect usb-hdd. Those index data of W, X, Y, Z drives seems to be lost while rebuilding the index of a newly attached usb-hdd. always online: C, D, E, T keep offline: W, X...

Re: Offline HDD Volume tab
When I search through offline volume index, it is frequently required to look around a searched file. If it were online index, it is possible to open it (whatever it is) with file explorer or something else (file manager etc). As you may know, however, there is no way to do so with the search result...

Somtimes, I'd like to see folder size to find a big folder.
It would be appreciated if there is such an option in everything.
Thank you!
ps. Is it possible to exclude folder starting specific characters? (RegEx seems not supported in exclude list filter yet)

Offline HDD Volume tab
When the hdd goes offline, I'd like to see it in separate tab. Sometime, I want to see the whole map of the offline hdd like Cathy (simple disk Catalog program). Especially, it can be convenient to keep offline volumes only in the tab. What do you think? http://www.techsupportalert.com/files/images/...

You can refer to the link for similarity search. It's a plugin of total commander.
If possible please consider including lead syllable and PinYin search.
