Re: Problem during computer restart
No Windows update. I do them manually. The settings are also fine. I did a restart but after I fixed what I think the problem was. After this restart, Everything behaved just fine. As I mentioned, I don't reboot my system often. Before I restarted it for this test, I had a look at Everything's datab...

Problem during computer restart
Hello. I rarely restart my Windows 7 but when I do, Everything wastes too many CPU cycles to initialize. The problem started with the last betas including the current one I use (830b). I'm using the x86 version with a service under x64 Windows. The following happens during a normal restart (not a vi...

You're quick on the job, aren't you? . Congrats.
Is that possible zero-length attribute a valid case or something I should worry about and start checking the hard disk?
Thank you for the updated installer.

Infinite loop on 1.4.1.809b (x86)
Hello. Last night I left the computer on (no user applications running) and this morning I found Everything running at full CPU speed. That was the task with the -startup flag, not the service. I did some checking before killing this process: -- I activated its debug log and it only showed: Everythi...

Re: Offline volumes problem with 809b
Thanks for the response.
No crash that I saw but maybe something happened during boot and I missed it. I'll keep an eye on it and let you know if it happens again.
Regards.

Offline volumes problem with 809b
Hello. I'm using the x86 version on Win 7 x64 to save some RAM. I've installed the ZIP version of Everything and activated its service. So far so good but today I found out that it had cleaned up the indices for my offline volumes. There wasn't any system crash to cause a rebuild as far as I know. I...

Re: Huge memory consumption
Thanks for the pointers.
Just doing your suggestions, the memory usage is down to 262 MB. What I had before
I'll try the x86 version too. It should support a system with 5-6 million of files I'd think (and hope).
Thanks again.

Re: Huge memory consumption
I also have a RAM consumption problem but not as a result of a leak. The values are stable and the debug log has nothing out of the ordinary. I use .782m now but the problem started with the previous version (.713b I think). This is on Win 7 SP1 x64 with two partitioned internal drives and 3 USB one...

Environment variables are not refreshed
Hello. This is with 1.3.4.686 x64 autostarting with Win 7. It used to happen on earlier versions but it had skipped my mind. When Everything starts up, it caches the environment variables. If I open a Command Prompt through it, the variables are there. So far so good. If I now change some variable (...

Re: Latest version of Everything? (1.2.1.451a??)
I got 1.2.1.452 quite some time ago from support that fixed a problem I had. So there's life after 1.2.1.451a but it would be nice to get more updates. I still have some problems with it not updating its list with files in the Windows folders. Protected folders/files are not excluded so it might be ...
