Thanks David - I don't know if you provided those icons for me (as I have these icons already) or for others.
Thanks again for Everything!

Re: Version 1.4.1.895 (x64); custom icon in context menu not changed
I've been using Everything for a long time and I like the original icon (or at least this was the icon used when I started using Everything).
Here is the custom icon for the program window (see customizing Everything), and the context menu icon (manual registry modifications).

Version 1.4.1.895 (x64); custom icon in context menu not changed
In Everything Version 1.4.1.895 (x64) and when using a custom icon, the context menu's icon is not changed (easily changed by editing the registry).

Re: Everything does not start automatically at windows start
Sorry Stephan for the delay.
My guess would be that the user account that the task scheduler is using is not the account that you logged in to.
Check the 'General' tab on the scheduled task to see which user account you are using.
(When running the task, use the following user account)

Re: Should I update
I received the same notice (all up to date BUT and update was available).
I updated manually - works great.

Re: Everything does not start automatically at windows start
Stephan, remove the shortcut from the autostart folder, then add an entry to the task scheduler (this will get around an UAC prompt IF you had UAC enabled but also this is an alternate way of starting a program at logon) click the windows logo (start button) type 'task scheduler' into the 'Search pr...

Re: Everything does not log NTFS based RAMdisks
Actually you uncovered a greater problem with RAM disks. The true RAM disk (as set as a 'RAM disk' media type NOT as a 'removable drive' or 'fixed media'/'local disk') as implemented by Microsoft is significantly limited when compared to these other media types. A 'RAM disk' media type is not viewab...

Everything does not log NTFS based RAMdisks
Everything does not log NTFS based RAMdisks volumes.
The NTFS RAMdisk does not show as an available NTFS volume under the 'Volumes' tab in 'Everything Options'.

send to removable media error
When a found file by 'Everything' is transferred to a removable media (FAT formatted) via right clicking the found file in 'Everything' and selecting 'send to' and the removable media, an error pops up stating Window Title: Windows Explorer Message: The Target cannot handle this type of document The...
