Bookmark attributes (e.g. sort order) are not remembered when invoking macro (e. g. todo:)
When I invoke a bookmark by entering its macro name (e. g. todo:) the attributes of the search it should remember (e. g. Remember sort: Name (Ascending), Remember view: Thumbnails (32 x 32)) aren't restored altough the respective check boxes in the 'Edit Bookmark' dialog have been ticked and all opt...

Re: Multi-file rename - $count token
I agree with you that Everything should concentrate on its 'core competences' - this is searching. But multi-file renaming is already implemented in Everything and one can use several tokens (eg $uppercase()) - so adding a $count token wouldn't introduce a completely new feature but rather slightly ...

Multi-file rename - $count token
Hi void, would it be possible to add a $count token to the (existing) multi-file rename functionality? This token would be resolved to a plain number, ascending from one in ordner to make renamed file names unique. Example: This feature would let me rename the files --> Picture_x.jpg, Picture_y.jpg ...

Re: voidpad
On my computer voidpad (x86) stores my change to "Tab size" (2 spaces instead of the default 4 spaces) correctly in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\voidpad\voidpad_tab_size but fails to re-load this value after re-start ("Tab size" = 4 spaces again). Same result if I start voidpad as...

Preview Pane / .msg
When I open the preview pane in Everything v1.4.1.809b and select a file with a .msg extension (Outlook email file), the pane remains blank (neither shows a preview nor displays an error message). With files of other types, the preview is shown (.doc, .xls, .pdf ...). When I open the preview pane in...

Re: Modifiers ww: and case: don't work?
That works! Now I understand: Modifiers that are part of the search term (ww:, case:) are 'search word-specific' and have to be prefixed to the affected search word (without separating space, i.e. ww:banana), whereas the "Match case/whole word" search options in the menu are 'search term s...

Modifiers ww: and case: don't work? [SOLVED]
If I tick the option "Match whole word" in the "Search" menu and enter "banana" as a search term Everything won't find the file "bananas.doc" - that's what I expected. But if I un-tick the option "Match whole word" in the "Search" menu and ...

Program behaviour while performing a longer query
During a prolonged search (e.g. using the new content: option) the message "Querying" is displayed in the status bar and the main program window becomes unresponsive. The user can abort the search by clicking a button in a non-modal message box. This program behaviour seems a bit clumsy to...

Re: Hide file extension
I prefer the current status - ie the extension is displayed in the name column. Maybe there could be an extra option in Tools/Options ("file extension in name column visible yes/no") or - even better - Everything could display or hide the file extension according to the current Windows exp...
