Re: Locked at start
Replying to my own question: After posting this question, I noticed that Windows Explorer had stopped showing PDF contents in the Preview pane. Since I had that pane also activated in Everything Search, I wondered if something might have changed globally. I decided to see when my latest System Resto...

Locked at start
Hi! I absolutely love Everything search and am devastated because it has stopped working for me. Symptom: Everything starts and shows the standard window but the cursor is not blinking and it will not respond to anything. Just a static picture. Clicking anywhere has no effect, not on links or even t...

Re: Search Syntax Help
This is VERY basic, but I had trouble with it so someone else might. I couldn't seem to get Everything to "sort by date" and I was going crazy. Turns out it was the way I had E set up. When I made ALL the Date Columns VISIBLE (modified, created, accessed and recently changed), the date-rel...

Re: Newbie hotkeys question
Thanks for the recommendation -- I've downloaded autohotkey and it looks like an amazing tool. I'll post again if I come up with a script that will let me use two "controls" bring up my search window.

Re: Newbie hotkeys question
Thank you for taking the time to answer, but I'm afraid I don't understand. This is what I get when I right-click Options -- there doesn't seem to be "keyboard" as a choice.

Newbie hotkeys question
I'm a newbie to Everything and I'm using it because my trusty old Google Desktop finally died. To invoke the search box in Google Desktop, you hit the Ctl key twice. I have Everything setup to "run when windows starts" and "run in the background", but I can't figure out how to su...
